COURSES FOR PAINTING & DRAWING 2010

Our program is designed for beginners and advanced participants

Courses of painting and drawing will be held in 1-week terms.

from 29 may to 26 june
from 28 august to 25 september

We recommend to visit almost two weeks.

The courses will be conducted under the supervision of
Prof. Irma Weissenbach

The focus of our program is the study of real subjects and the landscape that surrounds us. Emphasis will be placed on working from direct observation.
The participants will draw and paint directly from the surrounding landscapes environs as well studio work which enclude the still-life. .
The materials used will be pencil, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolors and oil paints.
Guided field trips will enclude Città della Pieve, Arezzo, Pienza and Montepulciano.

COURSES FOR BOOKBINDING & PAPERMAKING 2010

You will learn to bind your own book, you will form and realise your ideas in papmachè, you wil produce handmade and marbelized paper.

In this two-week course the focus of our program is to design and produce a handmade book. You will learn and apply the techniques of bookbinding, you will also learn how to make handmade paper and give form and shape to objects in papmachè. Further we teach you the techniques to create marbelized paper.

In this course every participant will be encourraged to develope their own creative ideas, you will learn as well doing paper pulp to produce a series of small sculptures and to evolve a personal sensibility for color and form.
